History of Faith Bible Church

The story of God’s work at Faith Bible Church began on March 12, 2014 when a number of couples began meeting in a home on Wednesday nights. The intention of these meetings was Christian fellowship centered around sharing something God had taught each individual in their devotions over the past week as well as prayer together for God’s direction as each couple was searching for a new church home. These weekly gatherings became a treasured time of fellowship and spiritual growth as well as a valuable time to share reports on the various churches each couple had visited the previous Sunday.

Toward the end of July, God had not directed any of the couples to a permanent church home while bringing several new couples to the fellowship. The Wednesday night meetings continued to grow in number and in unity. The group began discussing and offering up specific prayer regarding moving the Wednesday night meetings to Sunday mornings. After much prayer and clear direction from the Lord, the group began meeting on Sunday mornings September 7, 2014.

At this point the group did not call this “church” but rather a “Sunday Morning Fellowship."  Each couple was praying and seeking the Lord for clear direction that planting a church was His plan and not theirs. Toward the end of October, after meeting for nearly two months, four of the couples simultaneously felt God’s call to begin the more formal process of planting a new church. The group began praying corporately about this decision throughout the month of November. God faithfully answered their prayer for a clear leading towards planting a new church.

God raised up three men willing to serve as lay leaders and lead the group through nonprofit incorporation. On December 14th, 2014, the church held their first official business meeting. During this meeting the church also voted on the name “Faith Bible Church”. There were 13 adults voted in as the founding members of Faith Bible Church.

Faith Bible Church met as a home church until early spring of 2017 when space was located on Candun Drive in Apex. While the plans for moving to the new location were being formalized, God brought us a graduate of Masters Seminary who became our first official staff member and teaching pastor. We are thankful for God's blessing of our young fellowship and are unified in our commitment to the cause of Christ in our community, country and world!

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
